Spoke to a Venture Capalist in Ho Chi Minh,Vietnam the other day. The man looked fustrated with just the level of support that is needed to get company's off the ground.It sounds like is goes beyond the "let me advise you on your management team".

Not too many google's around the corner.Well, they say if it's easy to invest in a place, it's already too late.Guess it is not too late to investment in Vietnam.

How to hire an employee?

Is it the things they have done or is it the things they are going to do? I would settle for the latter. In the emerging market skills and knowledge are not always at hand, but there is a lot of hunger out there for knowledge and self-improvement. Sometimes you find them in strange places. I am at times amazed how quickly people learn with little or no normal training. I guess that is all it takes; guts and will power.

Day trip

Day trip to Dankuni (Kolkata outskirts) and to the Engineering college (University). The University needs a serious paint job and facilities are well not really world class.

Impressive though is the people you meet and the excitement in the air. India is on the move and West Bengal is tired of being left behind. No disrespect, but Kolkata is so much more than Mother Teresa. See “Mother” is both a curse and a blessing, and locals would like to move far beyond images of starving street kids. Food supply-Cal style

Kolkata is famous for it's street food. During lunchtime the pavements are a buzz with food dealers and patrons all elbowing there way to the best street cuisine and a share of the action. See being nice just don’t cut it if you want a quick bite.

Food preparation takes place mostly on the streets, and in front of glaring eyes where food adultery (Sub-continent favourite) can be carefully monitored.Everyday thousands of food vendors buy and cart produce to the various locations in the city. Distribution marvel? Hardly, but they never seem to run out of any supplies.

The potential loss of income and the wrath of the street consumer is enough to keep the supply running smooth. After all, not all business' need complicated supply chains to deliver. Sometimes common sense and practice prevail.
